This project is totally biting "The Grey Album" mixed, shredded and tossed by Dangermouse.
I figured i'd try my hand at it as well. And while not the most unique of idea's, I decided
I would go with a less known artist to mash with. Director John Carpenter. He wrote
all of the songs on the soundtrack to his movie "Escape From New York." Most people
who know me, know i'm lost in the 80's. I figured this soundtrack is very representative of New York,
and myself in my love and admiration for all things 80's.

So Jay-Z being from the Big Apple and this soundtrack seemed to just fall into place.
At first I was a little apprehensive about using a whole soundtrack. But the theme is there already.
All I have to do is place the word and beats. As i've progressed on this project I started enjoying
the shape the record was taking. It's got a retro feel. It also sounds more like underground
hip-hop than commercial MTV throw away pop.

Again. I was very afraid that once this got started i'd be driven to go back and find other backing
music. But as you'll hear, the music is almost too fitting to go back. It's a little darker than I would
have initially thought agreeable to my ear. So enjoy.

It's our music now. If you own it, do with it what you will.
