Entertainment Weekly Declares "The Grey Album" #1 of The Year!

Now as i've said before, this record is good. It's not great, nor is it the greatest. It opened the door for alot of us remixing/mash-up/bootlegger/dj's to do what we want in a more than underground way.

EW states that "Rock and rap have tangled with each other for over a decade, but rarely this seamlessly."

And to some degree I agree. While the technology has let us all go forward into the realms of, well, anywhere...this does prove we have no limits, nor will we be confined.

After running through the whole thing a couple times it's nearly flawless. BC has it down. And it's better than that OTHER Beatles thing out there.

I'm sure some of you were quite upset to see that we were down this weekend! But we're back up and ready to rock! My host had to move offices so all is well now!

GYBO More...

Ok...this is rediculous....GYBO is back...and now I have to change all me links...again...but i'm happy that I didn't have to use a new board and lose all my contacts n what not. YAY!

GYBO no more...

GYBO got pulled, deleted, destroyed never to return...or was it? The controversy over this strange event has bootleggers the world over wondering what happened. But alas I think the problem has been fixed. GYBO 3.0 has been put into effect. You can find it at www.gybo.org. All things GYBO will be restored and what not. Keep bootin' we'll make more.

News and Upcoming Attractions

So Matt Hite spun a fabulous set this Friday. I can't thank him enough for coming out! And joining us at the bar was Sean...happy birthday! Fun was had by all. Saturday we went to Bootie and saw Go Home Production's Mark Vidler. He was fantastic! The Cherry Bar was packed AND hot. They need air conditioning. Cause for the second time come 12:30 everyone needs a break and a trip to the bar or outside. I had to leave pre-maturely due to my dates birthday.

January 7th Matt Hite will take the decks over at The Blue Lagoon for RE:Mixed. I'll be in Monterey (see previous posts!) to play boots there! A+D have said yes to playing but no official date yet. More news to come...

News For December and January

That's right kids...your friend DJ Tripp is gonna be playing at Club Octane in Monterey Friday January 9th. If you're in the area come and support at the biggest club in the Monterey Bay area!

This Friday at The Blue lagoon Matt Hite from Beatmixed.com will be at The Blue Lagoon and RE:Mixed with me here in Santa Cruz! He'll have CD's to give away and i'm sure it will be quite the fun time for all!

Also it looks like A+D will be making a guest appearance at RE:Mixed at an undisclosed date. I'll keep you all posted.
